Product Specialist
Location: Medellín, Colombia
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Marketing Manager
We're looking for a cross-functional Product Specialist to support research, evolution, and maintenance of the product and materials portfolio. You'll partner with multi-disciplinary teams to drive product initiatives, craft performance metrics, and monitor competitors—ensuring a sustained competitive edge. The role centers on disciplined execution of team objectives and continuous product improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Assess existing products and maintain up-to-date market and competitive intelligence to support strategic decisions and enhancements.
- Track competitors' pricing, features, and positioning; synthesize insights for action.
- Coordinate end-to-end execution of product updates and new product development.
- Update product materials; generate, review, and adapt content; collaborate with the creative team for implementation.
- Assist with product launches and related activities.
- Serve as the product point-of-contact across departments; contribute content for commercial presentations (including PowerPoint).
- Support project management, guarding timelines and deliverables.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 5+ years in product management and corporate communications/content development; preferred exposure to healthcare/health insurance and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and analytical skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Excellent organization and time management; strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Proven performance in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; nice to have: Adobe InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop and Figma.
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
