Your Role

We are seeking a seasoned Automation Tester with extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance to join our client BDO for a 6-month engagement. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Playwright to ensure the highest quality of web applications.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Developing and implementing comprehensive end-to-end test automation strategies and frameworks using Playwright for web applications

• Creating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and security requirements

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to understand requirements and develop effective test plans and test cases

• Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution using appropriate test management tools

• Performing regression testing to ensure new code changes don't adversely affect existing functionality

• Analyzing test results to identify areas for improvement in both the application and test automation framework

• Participating in code reviews to ensure test code quality and adherence to best practices

• Mentoring junior team members on test automation methodologies and best practices

• Researching and recommending new testing tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness

• Providing regular status updates and detailed reports on testing activities and results to stakeholders

Your Profile

• 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation

• Extensive hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end test automation across web applications

• Proven experience working in Agile environments with a deep understanding of Agile testing methodologies

• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with test automation frameworks

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the development workflow

• Proficiency in version control systems such as Git

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
