Job Summary
We’re hiring an experienced HR Business Partner with US Employee Relations & US Payroll experience, to support our US and Canadian operations (16475), based in Colombia. This role requires deep expertise in U.S. labor regulations, employee relations, and Talent development. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record supporting North America-based teams and is confident managing high-impact, cross-border HR processes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders in the US & Canada, translating business goals into people strategies.
- Provide guidance on organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, and change management.
- Partner with leadership to drive data-informed decisions through workforce analytics and insights.
- Employee Experience & Engagement
- Drive initiatives that foster an inclusive and engaging work environment.
- Support communication strategies to keep employees connected and informed across geographies.
- Talent Development
- Collaborate on talent reviews, succession planning, and development programs tailored for IT services professionals.
- Support performance management and feedback culture through tools like Encourage.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee employee relations, compliance, and HR processes in collaboration with HR Centers of Expertise (CoEs).
- Ensure seamless execution of HR practices aligned with global standards.
- Cross-Border Collaboration
- Partner with Colombia-based HR colleagues to deliver consistent support for the US & Canada regions.
- Navigate cultural nuances and regulatory requirements across multiple geographies.
- Employee Relations (ER)
- Conduct internal investigations related to employee behavior, grievances, or ethical concerns.
- Advise leaders on ER best practices and documentation protocols.
- Handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and legal alignment.
- Manage I-9 verification processes and documentation audits.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to mitigate HR-related risk.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field. A master’s or HR certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of HRBP experience supporting U.S.-based teams in a global organization (IT services preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state labor laws, especially in termination and compliance.
- Expertise on Federal and State HR employment laws, and compliance requirements in the US & Canada.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills with the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, matrixed environments across time zones.
- High cultural intelligence and sensitivity to diverse workforces.
- Demonstrated experience conducting employee relations investigations and handling I-9 processes.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Highly organized and comfortable working outside of automated systems (manual tracking, follow-ups, documentation).
