The Role:
The Finance Manager contributes to the business by ensuring accurate Colombian statutory financial records and reporting, supporting the local and group AP and accounting team with local accounting and tax compliance knowledge, being the main point of contact for the local organization in connection to the financial processes.
What Will You Be Doing:
- Month End Financial Reporting: Generate reports summarising movements in P&L and BS. Deeper review of cost variances and adjustments as needed between GL accounts, departments etc as part of the review. Payroll understanding and review/analysis for the month end reporting. Be able to guide the accountant with the payroll posting by ensuring an understanding of the different type of compensations as well as taxation and social security contributions and how each cost type should be posted to align with the global structure. Be able to explain what factors have impacted the variances for staff costs. Live Casino reporting by tracking table development and understand the changes in the month to be included in group management reporting for the Live Studios. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met the information is reliable and consistent.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Support the Live Casino FP&A team and report to the Live Casino Business Controller on a dotted line. Focus area for the support will be on the local legal entity but not exclusively as some local activity can be costed to other group entities and will require local knowledge and support.
Day to day support:
- Invoices: stay up to date with financial allocation rules and guide the AP team as needed. Review invoices for the local legal entity.
- Function as finance business partner locally: support managers in the location with any finance related topics, including guiding them to others in finance which are better placed to support.
Budget and forecasting:
- Work with local managers to prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
- Coordination: Coordinate the relationship between Group Tax Department, third party local tax advisors, third party local accounting providers, communication between Group Treasury and banks.
- Audit Support: Prepare audit schedules and assist statutory auditors in their inquiries.
- Month-end Support: Assist the Group Financial Controller with month-end reporting processes, ensuring adherence to business processes and policies.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate accounting for capital projects and provide insight to support decision making.
- Colombian GAAP and Internal Policies: Assuring that all records, transactions, reports, and documentation are compliant with Colombian GAAP and internal policies.
What Makes You a Strong Candidate:
Qualified Accountant with
- Strong Colombian statutory accounting and tax regulations knowledge and experience
- Big4 experience would be a plus.
- English spoken and written.
- Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including the ability to research and simplify complex situations.
- Excellent attention to detail, knows how to check their own work.
- Team player who takes initiative and works constructively with others to achieve team goals.
- Good interpersonal and relationship building skills, strong communicator both orally and in writing.
- Must be ambitious, somebody who wants to learn and progress their career in highly entrepreneurial and dynamic organisation.
- Proactive, with a process improvement mindset, not afraid to question the status quo and suggest ways to improve output and efficiency.
- Results driven, able to work at fast pace and juggle multiple priorities whilst ensuring accuracy at all times.
