POSITION SUMMARY
Pure Earth invites talented and motivated professionals to apply for the position of Junior Professional in Communications and Digital Content, within the framework of visibility, advocacy, and strategic communication activities carried out by our office in Colombia.
The position will be based in Bogotá, Colombia.
Role Description
We are seeking a creative, versatile junior communicator with a strong visual orientation to operationally support the Communications Area of our office in Colombia.
This person will work closely with the technical team to ensure the timely production of reports, content, and communication materials that strengthen the visibility of our actions, campaigns, projects, and key messages. Their role will be essential in keeping our social media updated, supporting the design of awareness and advocacy materials, participating in event coverage, and assisting in the drafting of content that connects with diverse audiences.
They will be responsible for executing communication tasks with attention to detail, ensuring coherence of content, graphic and institutional image, and contributing to positioning Pure Earth as a reference in environmental health, pollutant reduction, and the protection of vulnerable communities.
This position requires a person with creative skills, a sense of aesthetics, good writing, initiative to propose ideas, and willingness to learn and solve tasks independently.
Main Responsibilities
- Design graphic pieces for social media, presentations, reports, and campaigns.
- Support video editing for reels, testimonials, or informational materials.
- Draft content for reports, social media, web articles, and newsletters.
- Schedule social media posts and monitor interactions.
- Participate in the preparation of virtual or in-person events (design of materials, streaming, coverage).
- Support administrative tasks of the area (organizing folders, databases, mailings, quotes for services related to communications, etc.).
- Propose creative ideas that add value to campaigns and projects.
Profile Requirements
- Education: University degree in Social Communication, Journalism, Graphic Design, Advertising, or related fields.
- Professional experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in digital communication, graphic design, social media management, or content production.
- Languages: Intermediate English level (B1) desirable.
- Specific knowledge:
- Use of graphic design tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or others).
- Basic knowledge of video editing (Premiere, CapCut, or others).
- Writing of digital and communication content.
- Management and scheduling of social media posts.
- Additional skills:
- Creativity and sense of aesthetics.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Organization and time management.
- Proactivity and willingness to learn.
- Integration into a multidisciplinary team in a project with regional impact.
- Opportunities for learning and professional development in the area of strategic communication.
