Role overview

Ilkari is looking for a committed, proactive and resourceful Management Accountant to help maintain and grow both the finance department and overall business in the Colombia Data Centre by ensuring timely and accurate management accounts preparation and submission, a smooth month end close, assisting and advising colleagues and other stakeholders in financial matters and ensuring finance operations runs effectively and efficiently.
In addition, there will direct involvement in setting up new procedures, automation, finance system implementation and process enhancement and assisting colleagues in the Finance Team as necessary in their everyday operations and working directly with the Finance leaders in delivering finance strategy alongside business growth.
What you'll do
- Responsible in closing out the ledgers at month end, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts.
- Preparation and submission of various tax reports and payments.
- Overseeing payroll postings.
- Maintenance of Balance Sheet and Fixed Asset Reconciliations.
- Working with local accountants and auditors.
- Working closely with Procurement to ensure that invoices and purchase orders are tracked and accurate.
- Involvement in implementing a new finance and accounting system and writing the subsequent processes.
- Being proactive in looking to automate various financial tasks.
- Some involvement in Accounts Receivables and Payable as necessary.
- Contributing to regular cash flow forecasting.
- Assisting company leadership and other stakeholders as necessary with financial queries.
- Working on various projects and supporting the project managers and handling all financial aspects and queries.
- Investment Analysis as needed on new projects and initiatives.
- Possible supervision and support of other finance team members.
- Opportunity to be involved in Financial Planning and Analysis and directly supporting Head of Finance.
- Ad-hoc analysis, reporting and support to the wider Ilkari business, as and when required.
- Supporting the development of one direct report within the local Finance team.
What are we looking for
- Experience of 5+ years with extensive knowledge of accounting fundamentals and working with finance systems. Experience of working in Technology an advantage.
- Knowledge of Free Trade Zones and accounting qualifications are also relevant for this role.
- English and Spanish proficiency is a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with a professional and customer-focused and stakeholder approach.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. SAP, D365) and CRM systems; strong MS Excel skills are required.
- Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail and being able to deal with numerous and complex data sets.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving operational and procedural issues, alongside process improvements, with a solution-oriented mindset
