Newfire is seeking a SCRUM MASTER
What's the Project?
Our development teams, responsible for a no-code platform designed for building and managing robust websites and digital experiences for health systems, are embracing agile software development. As the Scrum Master, you will ensure that the Scrum framework is applied effectively and that the teams can work collaboratively and efficiently toward delivering high-quality software products.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies of the product development teams, ensuring that the Scrum framework is applied effectively to the development process
- Work with the Product Owner to ensure that the product backlog is maintained and prioritized
- Coach team members on agile practices and principles
- Help to remove any impediments or roadblocks that may be hindering the team’s progress
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing
- Ensure that the team is meeting the sprint goals and delivering high-quality software
- Track and report on team performance metrics and progress toward goals
- Coordinate team communication and collaboration
- Participate in sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meeting
- Monitor the team’s progress toward the sprint goals
- Work with team members to identify and address any issues or roadblocks that arise
- Educate the team members on Scrum best practices
- Grow the maturity of the team and the process
- Perform 1-2-1 meetings with team members
- Identify key issues and risks, motivate, and empower others to address them in a way that builds morale, generates ownership, and commitment within the team
You’re a perfect match if you have:
- Able to comply with EST working hours
- 7+ years of experience working as Scrum Master and/or Agile Coach
- Experience managing 2+ Scrum Teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and writing skills
- Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
- Proficient understanding of Agile principles and scaled agile frameworks
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
