Your mission is to keep your finger on the pulse of digital culture, crafting content that doesn’t just get seen but gets shared, talked about, and remembered.
You’ll be responsible for spotting trends before they peak, jumping into cultural moments with perfect timing, and turning everyday brand messaging into engaging high-impact storytelling.
Whether it’s creating sharp, witty captions, repurposing viral memes, or brainstorming original content that demands attention, you’ll be the driving force behind social strategies that perform.
What You'll Be Doing
Beyond creating content, you’ll be managing multiple social platforms, ensuring brands show up consistently and authentically across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, Facebook, and anywhere else we need to be.
You’ll strategize, schedule, and optimize posts to maximize visibility, making data-driven decisions that turn engagement into impact. But engagement isn’t just about numbers – it’s about building communities.
You’ll be in the comments, in the DMs, responding with the right energy, humor, and brand voice to cultivate meaningful connections.
This role isn’t just about client work – you’ll also help elevate Social Seed’s own digital presence, making sure we practice what we preach and stay ahead in the industry. Expect to pivot fast, experiment often, and always be on the lookout for fresh ways to capture attention.
What It Takes to Win Here
First, an obsession with internet culture and social trends. You should know exactly what’s happening in digital spaces, from emerging TikTok formats to the latest Twitter debates. Strong copywriting and storytelling skills are a must – you’ll need to craft content that’s not just scrollable but memorable. Staying on top of trends is non-negotiable. You’ll be our trendspotter-in-chief, keeping an eye on the latest memes, viral moments, platform updates, and best practices. You’ll use tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, and others to schedule and analyze content performance, ensuring that our social strategies are always one step ahead.
Basic design awareness will come in handy, as you’ll often collaborate with designers to ensure quick-turnaround assets align with campaign goals. While video editing isn’t a requirement, having a general understanding of visual trends and platform-specific content formats (e.g., what works on TikTok vs. LinkedIn) will help you provide actionable creative direction to the team. Your ability to guide and tailor deliverables—rather than create them yourself—will be key to ensuring content is both engaging and strategically effective.
But being a Social Media Wizard isn’t just about creativity – it’s about strategy. You’ll need an analytical mindset to track performance, identify patterns, and tweak approaches for better results. And since the internet moves fast, you’ll need to be agile, adaptable, and always ready to jump on opportunities in real-time.
English proficiency is a MUST.
This is a fully remote role, so you’ll need a reliable high-speed internet connection, a solid computer, and high-quality audio/video for virtual meetings.
Fuel for Your Growth
- Payment will be made in CAD (Canadian Dollars) through Wise, at an hourly rate of $6 to $9 CAD, contingent upon the candidate's level of experience.
