As a Software Engineering Manager you will serve as the direct manager to a team of 7-10 developers, providing coaching, feedback, and career development support.
Some of your responsibilities are but are not limited to:
- Fosters a strong team culture built on trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conducts regular 1:1 sessions, performance reviews, and personalized professional growth plans for each team member.
- Leads daily stand-ups (our customized Agile approach), retrospectives, and delivery planning sessions to ensure an efficient workflow.
- Removes blockers and facilitates smooth progress of engineering priorities.
- Collaborates closely with Product and QA teams to ensure deliveries are aligned with the roadmap and ready for release.
- Monitors key delivery metrics such as developer productivity, QA failure rates, and the level of effort (LOE) required to resolve defects.
- Ensures ticket lifecycle accuracy (status, assignment, QA readiness). Optimises dashboards, filters (JQL), and workflows to enhance visibility and performance reporting.
- Encourages consistent JIRA usage among all developers, promoting its adoption as the team’s core operational system.
- Oversees end-to-end automated daily deployments and integrates release visibility through Slack.
- Coordinates with QA and Product to ensure successful, high-quality releases.
- Promotes strong internal standards around documentation, testing, and release accountability, ensuring quality and consistency in every delivery.

Minimum requirements:
- Studies: Bachelor’s Degree In Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience managing developers in a SaaS, product, or platform engineering environment.
- Experience working within or leading Agile hybrid teams. You understand the intent of Agile, but adapt the process to fit reality.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps, including automated daily deployments, centralized release management, and integration with Slack for visibility
- Language: Advanced English skills. B2+ or higher is preferred.

- Salary: Salary between $20,000 and $25,000, depending on experience.
