As a Supplier Quality Engineer in the SQM department, your day will be dynamic and impactful, focusing on ensuring the excellence and reliability of our suppliers. You will conduct thorough audits, evaluating suppliers against our stringent quality standards, identifying opportunities for improvement, and taking corrective actions to enhance performance. Your day involves collaborating closely with suppliers to develop and refine their processes, ensuring they align with our quality expectations and production needs. You will also play a crucial role in scouting and qualifying new suppliers, expanding our robust supplier network. Your expertise will help maintain our competitive edge by ensuring a steady supply of high-quality components, fostering strong supplier relationships, and contributing to our continuous improvement in culture.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop, maintain, and enhance quality requirements, specifications, and concepts tailored to supplier categorization, collaborating in the creation of technical specifications.
- Qualify and approve suppliers in partnership with purchasing, guiding product and service qualifications, and ensuring compliance with "Ready to Order" and corporate standards.
- Negotiate and establish Quality Assurance agreements, overseeing their effective implementation in supplier processes and ongoing supplier monitoring.
- Plan and conduct Supplier Audits, tracking audit actions, and driving supplier performance through continuous improvement and development initiatives.
- Implement comprehensive complaints management to identify, analyze, and resolve non-conformances, fostering sustainable problem solving and communication with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier quality through standardized qualification processes, ensuring ongoing compliance and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
- What You Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience between 2 to 3 years in the Transformer sector.
- roven ability to apply preventive quality methods, experience in supplier qualification and approval, as well as in creating and negotiating quality agreements, as well as in planning and executing supplier audits.
- Profound knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA.
- Advanced English, both verbally and in writing, in a global context.
- Competence: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and in a dynamic environment, excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Strong commitment to driving supplier performance and continuous improvement.
