Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Trains under guidance to develop basic business knowledge and technical skills to become an Associate Designer professional.
- Trainee will demonstrate learned knowledge of the whole portfolio applicable to the Category in focus, including functionality, taste identification, understanding ingredient interaction and limitations.
- Learns the skills required to operate safely and effectively within a laboratory environment.
- The trainee will support senior Designers in IFF’s internal and external projects.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Minimum entry level is a University/College Degree in Food Science and Technology or related disciplines (such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Human Nutrition)
- Entry level, preferable 0–1 years’ internship experience in similar job/seasoning/flavor industry
- Knowledgeable in food safety, raw materials, food regulations, sanitation and production processes
- Pass internal IFF sensory test.
How would you stand out
- Learning fundamental design skills and gains knowledge of the product portfolio relevant to the category in focus, including basic functionality and performance.
- Operating and maintains lab and pilot equipment, while exploring new ingredients and technologies to understand their impact on final product designs.
- Gaining exposure to evaluation and selection techniques across the full portfolio and broadens business understanding of functions like Production, Quality Control, Sales & Marketing, and Product Experience (PX).
- Demonstrating a proactive approach to learning and shows strong teamwork and collaboration skills as a contributing member of the flavor design team.
