Role:

We are hiring a YouTube Manager for A Impact Media.

The YouTube Manager is a strategic and creative leader who serves as the connective tissue between our clients' business priorities and how they're translated to long-form videos.

You're not just managing YouTube channels. You're building the top real estate channels across the country, making clients locally famous, and setting a bar for content so high others can only chase. You'll own the strategy, the story, and the systems behind uploads that scale our clients' local authority to hundreds of thousands of impressions a year on YouTube.

This isn't your typical content role. You're a multifaceted creative, fluent in ideation, production planning, compelling copywriting, post-production oversight, and YouTube analytics.

Your curiosity for real estate fundamentals matches your passion for dominating YouTube's local market landscape. You're fired up about crafting standout content that transforms the way top agents and teams will approach media and market dominance.

You'll lead the production, posting, and packaging direction of our videos, distill key insights into engaging content, and ensure continuous improvement through rigorous analysis and feedback loops. You'll also maintain strategic alignment with key business initiatives.

You'll work hand-in-hand with our YouTube Strategists/Client Success Manager, creative team, and client teams to shape channel strategy, content production, and distribution.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and YouTube Infrastructure

• Manage editors, thumbnail designers, and pre-production team across multiple client accounts
• Support relevant YouTube scorecard metrics (CTR, retention, view velocity, follower growth) and present insights to leadership and clients
• Support scalable, documented systems for scripting, packaging, and production handoffs
• Grow and develop direct reports and members of the YouTube Team
• Explore and test AI tools to accelerate pre- and post-production workflows. Identify opportunities to prototype AI-driven content testing, retention analysis, and scripting support
• Coordinate with marketing, shorts teams, and external stakeholders for distribution and promotion

YouTube Strategy and Channel Architecture

• Support YouTube channel growth strategy with input from clients
• Balance evergreen local content with timely reactions to market trends and other experimental formats
• Ensure every video not only educates but reinforces the authority, credibility, and mission of our clients. Maintain each brand's distinct tone while ensuring consistency
• Support the visual identity of packaging and run consistent A/B testing for packaging on back catalogue
• Keep relevant YouTube scorecard metrics and present weekly insights to team and clients

Pre-Production

• Support ideation and outlier research sessions
• Provide feedback and insight to YouTube team members on packaging briefs and video outlines
• Maintain a four-to-six-week buffer of fully approved topics (outlines, rough thumbnail concepts and title options)

Post-Production

• Ownership and management over post-production timelines and upload calendar
• Conduct regular retention reviews to improve audience engagement
• Work with Senior Editor to provide retention notes on edits + final approval for uploads
• Create brand guidelines, SOPs, and artifacts to continuously make post-production seamless and cohesive

Results:

• Support 45-60+ videos consistently delivered monthly within your team, you'll specifically only manage around 5-10 clients
• 90%+ on-time delivery rate
• Client channels achieving 100-1000 subscriber growth monthly
• Support of client revenue goals (generating leads monthly and $7.5-10M+ in sales a year per client)
• 50-75% of videos that outperform channel baselines on impressions and subscriber growth
• Lift in subscriber-to-view ratios for videos
• Higher average views per video and a steeper 24/48-hour velocity curve
• Regular documentation of content experiments and A/B tests
• Improved usage of AI and other tools to increase team leverage in production
• Client sentiment on brand and growth (excitement about filming, video topics, performance and brand discussions)

Requirements:

• Understanding of the YouTube landscape - concepts, thumbnails, titles, and retention editing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical fundamentals and ability to work with data
• 2+ years of relevant experience in YouTube channel development, bonus points if for a large educational channel
• Proficiency with editing notes tools (like frame.io)
• Proficiency with project management tools like Notion
• Proficiency with GSuite
• Knowledge of editing and Photoshop considered an asset but not essential

Communication Expectations:

• We use Slack it is the go-to for any communications
• We value over-communication (more context the better)
• We value speed in communication (be prompt in responding or provide context as to why you may be slow to respond)

• Weekly meetings with Media Manager/Team Leader
• Weekly meetings with creative team

Location: Remote (work from home)

Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm EST with flexibility to work weekends when needed.

Compensation: $16,800 - $28,800 annually with progression from part-time to full-time. Highly experienced YouTube strategists can earn $24,000 to  $36,000 a year.
