Position Overview:
As the Legal Counsel at EdgeUno, you will have a crucial role in navigating administrative, regulatory, and legal landscapes within the telecommunications industry. This position demands proficiency in drafting and managing contracts, with fluency in both Spanish and English. You must possess a thorough understanding of the LATAM legal system with an emphasis on Peruvian legislation. Experience in managing litigation and collections processes in Peru is necessary. Familiarity with the IT and telecom sector is advantageous. You will provide extensive legal support across different departments, ensuring stringent compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Legal Support: Deliver in-depth support for administrative, regulatory, and legal matters, assisting various departments, compliance personnel, and attorneys to meet departmental goals.
- Contract Drafting and Management: Draft and review national and international contracts, including confidentiality agreements and other legal documents, in digital and physical formats. Act as the contracts administrator, ensuring all legal documents are organized and current.
- Document Preparation: Prepare a diverse array of legal documents in both Spanish and English, such as contracts, shareholders meeting minutes, rights of petition, requirements, certificates, and legal correspondence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment and adherence to the LATAM legal system, providing services in line with necessary legal protocols. Oversee and coordinate internal processes to comply with the company’s legal standards.
- HR Support: Aid the HR department with labor contracts and other employment-related legal issues.
Requirements:
- Practicing attorney with a strong focus on telecommunications law and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in crafting and reviewing legal documents in Spanish and English.
- Extensive experience and expertise in litigation and collection processes in Peru.
- Must possess a valid professional license in Peru for representation in judicial or extrajudicial proceedings.
- In-depth knowledge of the LATAM legal system and telecommunications regulations.
- Proven experience in contract management and administration.
- Exceptional organizational and legal research abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
