About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll ensure the highest standards of quality across complex software systems for enterprise-scale initiatives, leading test planning and execution, driving API and CI/CD-integrated testing, and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements, technical specs, and risk assessments
- Implement and maintain API testing strategies using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or equivalents
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to understand architecture, identify risks, and ensure full coverage of critical paths
- Integrate automated and manual tests within CI/CD pipelines; partner with DevOps to keep test suites reliable and fast
- Analyze results, document defects with precision, and track issues in JIRA or similar tools
- Advocate QA best practices; mentor junior engineers and improve testing processes
- Proactively explore edge cases, failure points, and system behavior under varied conditions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies; contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives

About You
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of relevant QA experience
- Demonstrated expertise designing and executing test plans and test cases for comprehensive coverage
- Proficient in JavaScript for test scripts; Python or Java a plus
- Hands-on with frameworks such as Robot Framework, Selenium, or similar
- Strong API testing skills with tools like Postman, REST-assured, or equivalents
- Familiarity with integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and understanding of DevOps principles
- Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) and Agile testing workflows
- Proficiency with JIRA or equivalent tools for defect tracking and test management
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication; clear, thorough documentation
- High curiosity and a proactive mindset; strong attention to detail and effective priority management
- Preferred: API contract testing, performance testing, and basic security testing
- Preferred: Experience with cloud-native testing environments
- Preferred: Git or similar version control systems
- Preferred: Test data management strategies for complex systems
- Preferred: Contributions to QA communities, blogs, or open-source projects
