Role Purpose:
The Senior Specialist - Solution Engineering oversees the analysis and conversion of business requirements into technical solutions. This role is responsible for creating detailed technical documentation and collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to ensure solutions align with user needs. The Senior Specialist may also provide guidance on solution approaches during pre-sales or project engagements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with customers to understand and prioritize their business concerns and requirements.
Lead the elicitation, documentation, and prioritization of functional and non-functional requirements.
Analyze and define the impact of requirements on transactions and system components.
Develop EPICs, business stories, and technical change requests to support development.
Collaborate closely with software developers and architects to define solution designs.
Create comprehensive project plans, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with stakeholders.
Support development, testing phases, and implementation of new features.
Conduct demonstrations of functional enhancements to stakeholders.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Extensive experience as a business analyst or IT consultant, specializing in airline operations or related domains.
Deep knowledge of requirements elicitation techniques, process modeling tools, and project management methodologies.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with airline industry standards, regulations, and data exchange standards (e.g., XML, EDIFACT).
