Why is the Regional Finance Specialist important to Infobip? As a Regional Finance Specialist– North America, you will be contributing to Infobip’s organizational efficiency, financial health and success by collectively participating in all FP&A and Reporting tasks and activities, providing comprehensive coverage of all US & Canada legal entities incl. related subsidiaries & affiliates. The position is crucial to our company’s financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders (incl. required regulatory reporting forms). The position will provide valuable financial analysis for decision-making, acting as a strategic partner to all stakeholders, providing expertise to help the company meet its strategic goals, running various financial scenario analyses and helping manage and allocate financial resources efficiently and effectively. The position will communicate and coordinate, as needed, with regional segment and functional partners as well as corporate HQ partners. This position reports to the Regional Head of Finance – North America who is based in Chicago. We are looking for an energetic, self-sufficient, problem-solving, solution-oriented, reliable individual who will be able to achieve individual goals as well as contribute to both regional & HQ corporate goals.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with other global team members incl. our HQ corporate partners – especially during monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting cycles – and a variety of cross-functional departments (incl. accounting, billing, collections, support and Ops teams) where regional finance expertise is required. Ultimately, the Regional NAM Senior Finance Specialist will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of our business performance within reporting target dates.
Key responsibilities:
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
Build revenue, expense, and cash flow models
Perform variance analysis incl. identifying key drivers, providing business explanations and recommending strategic & tactical solutions
Perform scenario analysis incorporating key business factors, industry trends and senior management mandates
Ensure efficient and effective financial resource allocation
Financial Reporting
Compile and organize financial data, data sets and reporting files
Prepare accurate financial statements incl. regulatory and internal reports
Ensure regional compliance of financial reports incl. IFRS, US GAAP, SOX
Contribute to strict internal reporting controls, continuous improvement initiatives, policy development, and system enhancements to support organizational growth and regional effectiveness
Expense Management
Tracking, analyzing and reviewing business spend (incl. ensuring applicability of regional travel policies & enforcement of expense reimbursement policies)
Promoting cost control measures and disciplined expense management (incl. managing 3rd-party vendors & suppliers)
Liquidity & Debt Management
Evaluate the company’s regional ability to meet short & current obligations
Participate in the review of the region’s debt / capital structure, as warranted, and recommend optimal mix of debt (borrowed capital) and equity (ownership)
Assess financial risk and cost of capital
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required
Minimum 5+ years of related work experience
Strong understanding and practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) – especially US GAAP – and financial regulations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, functions (e.g. VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, CONCATENATE), formulas (e.g. SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE), and financial modeling.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle NetSuite), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems (e.g. Oracle Hyperion, Workday), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (e.g. Salesforce), Business Intelligence & Analytical Tools (Interactive Data Visualization Software such as Microsoft Power BI).
